[PET] Professor in IT Law (Privacy and Data Protection) at University of Tartu

The School of Law of University of Tartu (Estonia) invites applications 
for a position of Full Professor in IT Law with a focus on legal 
foundations of data protection and privacy.

The successful candidate shall have:
- A PhD in Law or an equivalent qualification. Qualification in the 
field of technology or IT is considered an advantage;
- Experience in conducting academic research on a high level, incl. in 
the abovementioned field;
- A track record of acquiring research funds in the law and/or 
information technology fields;
- Experience in leading international research projects;
- Experience in conducting classroom teaching in the last 5 years in 
graduate and postgraduate level.
- Excellent mastery of English.

In addition to teaching (4 contact hours per week) and supervising 
Masters and doctoral students, the successful candidate is expected to 
build an internationally competitive research team in the field of IT 
Law and to further develop the International Masters of IT Law delivered 
by the School.

The position will be initially fixed-term, from September 2017 to June 
2022, renewable into a permanent position thereafter. The salary shall 
be 63750 EUR/year. Estonia applies a flat income tax of 20% on salaries 
and provides public health insurance for employees. Other benefits 
include 56 days of annual leave and a sabbatical semester per 5-years 
period of appointment. Relocation support will be provided if applicable.
